Encourage your student to apply for graduationÌýÌý
Each student must officially apply to graduate. You can encourage your student to prepare and apply for spring graduation. You can also learn more details about how to purchase their cap and gown and graduation announcements.Ìý
Prepare for your visit to Â鶹ӰԺÌýÌý
We recommend booking your lodging arrangements well in advance of commencement. Hotels and vacation rentals fill up quickly, especially those in Â鶹ӰԺ. You can look for options in Â鶹ӰԺ or nearby areas.Ìý

Spring Commencement Ceremony detailsÌýÌý
The spring commencement ceremony will be held Thursday, May 9, at 8:30 a.m. at Folsom Field. The event does not require tickets or registration. This traditional ceremony celebrates the academic accomplishments of all our graduates. Students will receive their diplomas in the mail after commencement.Ìý
The commencement ceremony lasts approximately 90 minutesÌýand features a processional of the graduates, conferral of degrees, remarks from CU leadership and other celebratory elements. Learn more about the Ìý
Recognition ceremoniesÌýÌý
Our commencement events include the traditional campuswide commencement ceremony and smaller recognition ceremonies. Students and families are encouraged to attend both types of events.Ìý
Colleges, schools, departments and programs host recongition ceremonies. Your student may be invited to participate in one or more of the recognition ceremonies. During these events, your student will be individually recognized as they cross the stage and receive their diploma cover. Recognition ceremonies allow students and families to connect with their community and experience a more individualized ceremony to acknowledge their accomplishments.
