Neighborhood Community
Remember that you are a part of a community, and your neighbors may be students, faculty, staff, local families. Be a good neighbor:
- Introduce yourself either in person or in writing
- Share your contact information so your neighbors can easily contact you if they have concerns
- Let your neighbors know ahead of time if you plan to have a social gathering that could cause noise or other disruptions
- Make sure you know about Â鶹ӰԺ ordinances and common issues
- Be considerate of your neighbors - watch noise levels, etc
The Â鶹ӰԺ and the City of Â鶹ӰԺ are looking forward to having you as part of the larger community. Â鶹ӰԺ is a wonderful place to live and we hope that you take full advantage of the amazing community you will be joining. We also hope that you will make an effort to be active in your neighborhoods through volunteering, joining neighborhood groups and participating in local politics. There is a very large student population in Â鶹ӰԺ and you can make a difference.
There are plenty of resources to help you navigate your off-campus experience:
We hope you will voice your opinions about the university and community as it is the best way to initiate change or to support something that you like or appreciate.
We truly hope that you make the most of your time at the University of Colorado and in the Â鶹ӰԺ community. It is one of the most beautiful places to live with many opportunities to become a part of the community. The experience that you have in Â鶹ӰԺ and at CU is ultimately up to you. Contribute as much as you can and enjoy yourself.
Need support?
offers a positive channel to share observations from your neighborhood that could benefit from support from CU's Off-Campus Housing & Neighborhood Relations office. Our focus is to use peer mentorship and community building, instead of sanctioning, to educate our students and open up dialogue to help them be good neighbors in their off-campus communities.Ìý

It is important to note that utilizing this form will not initiate ticketing from Â鶹ӰԺ Police or involvement by Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution. It also will not initiate an immediate intervention from Off-Campus Housing & Neighborhood Relations. We certainly appreciate our Â鶹ӰԺ neighbors using this form as an alternative to channels like police interaction but acknowledge that some off-campus incidents are better suited for the police to handle. The Â鶹ӰԺ Police can be reached for non-emergencies at 303-441-3333.
