Academic Analytics (AA) is a private firm providing data on faculty scholarly activity to PhD-granting universities in the US and UK.听CU听麻豆影院 holds a master license with Academic Analytics. Institutional Research (Rob Stubbs and Jason Straub) work听with CU听麻豆影院 schools and colleges, departments, academic review, Faculty Affairs听and others on using Academic Analytics data.

Access to the UCB-Academic Analytics data will be granted only to individuals who complete and submit a non-disclosure agreement.听 Conditions of our license with Academic Analytics stipulate that

  • We will use AA data for internal analysis and decision making, to assist in the evaluation of departments and doctoral programs and to measure and compare faculty scholarship within CU 麻豆影院 and amongst peers.
  • Content 鈥 AA methods and results -- may only be distributed to and used by CU 麻豆影院 employees, contractors and consultants (including members of the Board of Regents and Academic Review and Planning reviewers) who have a professional need or interest in using such Content for the purposes outlined above.
  • No schools听other than CU 麻豆影院 may be mentioned by name in discussing or presenting any results that may become public.
    • This is CRITICAL and must be made clear to external reviewers and all internal users. We cannot say something like 鈥淯niversity of ABCDE is first in fisheries sciences鈥 in a document or discussion or presentation that may be covered by the press and made public.
  • Public websites or external promotional communications of any kind referencing Academic Analytics data must be approved in advance by CU 麻豆影院鈥檚 authorized representative (Office of Data Analytics, Robert Stubbs) and by an authorized representative of Academic Analytics.
  • Every presentation or display of the Content or data derived from the Content must reference Academic Analytics as the source by stating 鈥淔undamental data provided by Academic Analytics.鈥
