Brief Bio: Megan Collins is a first-year doctoral student in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (ATOC). Megan graduated from CU 麻豆影院 in 2020 (Summa Cum Laude, With Distinction) with a major in Mathematics and minor in ATOC, and is concurrently pursuing a Professional Master鈥檚 in Applied Math at CU 麻豆影院. Megan's undergraduate research in mathematics has been in the . While an undergraduate at CU 麻豆影院, Megan also conducted an Independent Study project in the Oceans and Climate Lab entitled Examining the Relationship Between Sea Surface Temperatures and Tropical Cyclone Wind Speed. Megan continues research along similar lines, focusing on remote sensing and modeling of North Atlantic tropical cyclones and their interactions with the upper ocean.
