National Space Council to meet to discuss exploration plans

From Space News: The National Space Council will hold its next public meeting March 26 to discuss NASA鈥檚 human space exploration plans.

The council is slated to meet on the afternoon of March 26 at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The meeting will be the fifth for the council since it was reconstituted in 2017, and the second outside of the Washington, D.C., area.

鈥淭his meeting will focus on President Trump鈥檚 plan to restore American leadership in space and the next steps in implementing his vision to send Americans to the moon, Mars and beyond,鈥 a spokesperson for the council said in a statement. Vice President Mike Pence, chairman of the council, will lead the meeting that will include testimony from witnesses and 鈥減resent policy recommendations for the President.鈥
