Picture of the Week: "I'm pinching myself!"
Each spring, talented students across the College of Music vie for a chance to perform with the CU Symphony Orchestra the following school year. The two outstanding winners of our 2021 Honors Competition are Ethan Blake (BM cello) and Anita Dumar (AD violin): "I鈥檓 pinching myself!" Dumar says. In further winning news, DMA student Julia Taylor (violin) won $1K in the New Venture Challenge. Her innovative idea? Chinlax鈥攁 smart violin chin rest that helps violinists practice form and develop healthy practice habits. Additionally, the CU 麻豆影院 Trumpet Ensemble advanced to the quarterfinals of the 48th Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, as well as the finals of the 2021 National Trumpet Competition.
