Director of Orchestral Studies Gary Lewis shared this photo of a recent Symphony Orchestra rehearsal in preparation for a performance of "From Here a Path"鈥攑art two of Prisms, Cycles, Leaps by composer Derrick Spiva Jr. 听Says Lewis, "We were delighted to have Mr. Spiva join our rehearsal via Zoom and provide feedback in real time." This read-through was held in the new rehearsal facility in our recently expanded Imig Music Building.

COVID-19 Vaccine Update: Vaccine sign-up form now available for COVID-19 vaccine through CU 麻豆影院
State update to vaccine eligibility and distribution: The state added student-facing higher education faculty and staff to a newly defined phase 1B.4, estimated to begin in late March. Phase 1B.4 also now includes people age 50 and older, frontline essential workers in a variety of categories and people ages 16-49 with at least one high-risk condition.
CU 麻豆影院 Medical Services is a provider for distributing the COVID-19 vaccine. Learn more about vaccine eligibility and vaccination options.
College of Music COVID-19 resources: The college is continuing with mandatory weekly COVID-19 testing for all students and faculty engaged in high aerosol music activities. And for the health and safety of our entire community, everyone is required to wear a mask both indoors and outdoors while on campus. Specifically, all music students, faculty and staff must wear a mask while participating in classes, lessons, coachings, rehearsals of all size ensembles, performances, meetings in our music buildings and anytime they are playing their instruments or singing. [Exception: Flutists are not required to wear a mask while playing but must still maintain the required 8-foot minimum distance.]
