The CU 麻豆影院 Treble Chorus was honored to perform the U.S. premiere of Alexina Louie鈥檚 鈥淩ain Makes Its Own Night鈥� last week during the esteemed Canadian composer鈥檚 on-campus residency.

• Historical musicology grad student presents 鈥�The Jane Austen Playlist: Love and Music of Regency England鈥� on Feb. 25.
• On March 1, noon-2 p.m. (S134), Grammy-nominated choral ensemble will present a workshop for students featuring the CU 麻豆影院 Chamber Singers and University Choir, a brief performance by VOCES8 and a Q&A about life as a professional choral singer and vocal soloist. This event has been made possible by a Roser Mini Grant as well as the Bixler Faculty Fund Initiative Award.听
• Beginning March 3: with Jeff Nytch, director of the College of Music鈥檚 Entrepreneurship Center for Music.
• On March 4, CU on the Weekend will feature several College of Music faculty in 鈥淢usic of the Long 鈥�70s: Black Power, Punk, Jambands and Jewish Soul.鈥� Join us!
• CU 麻豆影院 musicology colloquium series: Check out the spring schedule! Next up, on March 13, Ana Alonso-Minutti (University of California, Davis) will present 鈥淭he Mirrors of Sounds in Mario Lavista鈥檚 Music.鈥�
• On the anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine: The European Music Council, in partnership with the听, encourages the following: 鈥淲e call upon all culture and music events taking place on 24 February 2023, to hold a minute鈥檚 silence in solidarity with Ukraine and for all the victims of this terrible war.鈥� As well, the Metropolitan Opera will be livestreaming a concert, 鈥�.鈥� Discover more resources about Ukraine and efforts to support its cultural institutions in the听听research guide.
