鈥�to New Zealander-American Alan Mackwell, 2023 winner of the American Prize in composition-instrumental chamber music (college/university division) for his string trio, 鈥�.鈥� Mackwell is pursuing a DMA at our College of Music where he also teaches an Intro to Music Technology course.

• College of Music announces two new faculty members: Associate Professor + Director of Vocal Pedagogy听Nicholas Perna听and Director of Choral Activities听Coreen Duffy听will join the College of Music this fall.听
• (Daily Camera): Our College of Music will offer a specialization in music production beginning in the fall of 2025, creating a path for students seeking a non-traditional music career. John Davis, dean of the College of Music, said a degree with a concentration in music production opens up hundreds of potential occupations.听
• Feb. 23, 12-12:50 p.m., Provost鈥檚 Open Forum: For all College of Music students, staff and faculty, join us for this opportunity to hear from Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Russ Moore about his academic priorities and to engage in a discussion about the activities of the Division of Academic Affairs at CU 麻豆影院. • Call for proposals: Grant funds awarded by the Public and Community-Engaged Scholarship (PACES) Committee must involve 鈥渆ngaged scholarship,鈥� connecting CU 麻豆影院 faculty-led research, creative work or teaching with community needs, interests and activities. Individual faculty applicants may request up to $11,000 for each project, and groups of 2-3 faculty members may request up to $24,000 for a single, collaborative project. • : A new exhibition at the CU Art Museum was created by socially engaged artists-in-residence to honor Black girls and women.
