Brooklyn, New York-based saxophonist, composer and improviser Aakash Mittal is collaborating with current master鈥檚 student MarieFaith Lane on a project blending Hindustani and Western classical music.

As 2021 comes to a close and I reflect on my first year as Dean, I鈥檓 filled with gratitude for our College of Music family and all we鈥檝e accomplished in a new and evolving hybrid learning environment. This College of Music senior and president of the College of Music Student Government (CMSG) expects to graduate in May 2022 and ultimately plans to apply to pursue a career in medicine 鈥 along the way, she's "playing violin whenever I can!"
