CU Chamber Ensembles to Participate in Fischoff Competition

Three chamber ensembles, all of differing instrumentation, have been accepted to compete with top musicians from across the country in the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition. Based on audition materials and applications, the Zenobia Quintet, the Flatirons Brass Quintet and the Tesla Quartet have all been accepted into this illustrious competition.

Aaron Tindall (DMA Tuba) wins Aspen Music Festival Concerto Competition

Aaron Tindall (DMA tuba student) won the concerto competition at the Aspen Music Festival and performed R. Vaughn-Williams鈥 Concerto for Bass Tuba July 28th in the Benedict Music Tent at the Aspen music Festival. Before the performance he gave a live radio broadcast with Warren Deck, former principal tuba of the New York Philharmonic and John Rojack, bass trombone with the American Brass Quintet on KAJX (Aspen Public Radio).
