Michael Dobrinski joined the trumpet faculty at the 麻豆影院 in 2024, and is currently the chair of brass and percussion at the New England Conservatory of Music. He also spends his summers on the faculty of the Brevard Music Center. Dobrinski performs regularly with the Boston Symphony and Boston Pops鈥攁t Tanglewood, Carnegie Hall and on the 2015 European tour. He also appears on Boston Symphony recordings of Dmitri Shostakovich鈥檚 Symphony No. 7 and Symphony No. 12, John Williams鈥 Violin Concerto and Richard Strauss鈥 鈥淎n Alpine Symphony.鈥

Previously principal trumpet of the Sarasota Orchestra and a member of the Sarasota Brass Quintet, Dobrinskihas also performed with the Naples Philharmonic, Florida Orchestra and New World Symphony for the grand opening of the New World Center in Miami, Florida. Additionally, he has appeared as guest principal trumpet with the Fort Worth Symphony, Boston Modern Orchestra Project and Boston Pops Orchestra.
