Turkish composer, performer and educator听Egemen Kesikli strives to promote diversity in contemporary music. His composition catalogue varies from orchestral works and concertos to chamber works featuring traditional Anatolian instruments and unconventional ensemble formations. Egemen earned a doctorate in composition at the 麻豆影院 College of Music and a master鈥檚 degree from the University of Texas at Austin.听His mentors have included听Carter Pann, Timothy Mahr, Sonia Seeman听and G眉her and S眉her Pekinel.
In addition to his role at the College of Music, Egemen currently serves as Instructor of Music Theory at Colorado State University. When he鈥檚 not composing, performing or teaching, he enjoys cooking and collaborating on various arts projects with his family.
