In memoriam: Dean Emeritus Robert Fink
Our College of Music community is deeply saddened by the recent passing鈥攐n Dec. 7, 2024鈥攐f Dean Emeritus Robert (Bob) Fink.
Serving as dean from 1978 to 1993, Fink鈥檚 first initiatives at CU 麻豆影院 included the creation of a concerts office (now CU Presents) to manage all aspects of the college鈥檚 performance and publicity activities; and the acquisition of control of Macky Auditorium and the Artist Series.
His long-serving administration also saw the establishment of our American Music Research Center and the onboarding of our quartet in residence鈥攖he world-renowned Tak谩cs Quartet, currently celebrating its 50th anniversary.
We鈥檒l be sharing much more about Fink鈥檚 inspiring impact on our college鈥攁nd a celebration of his legacy鈥攊n the new year.
