Miles, 22,听died Dec. 8 in a skiing accident at Eldora Mountain Resort. He听was a senior at CU-麻豆影院 pursuing a double major in bassoon performance and environmental engineering.听
Robert Abraham Miles was inspired and mentored in music by John Nista at Ramblewood Middle School and Neil Jenkins at Taravella High School in Coral Springs, Florida, and most recently by听Yoshi Ishikawa, professor of bassoon at the college. Miles won numerous honors and awards for his bassoon playing as a soloist and a member of various orchestras, bands, quintets, quartets and duets, and recently was re-elected to a second term as president of engineering fraternity Theta Tau.听.听
The event will be live-streamed on Feb. 2.听
Miles' family and friends are establishing the Robert A. Miles Bassoon Scholarship in celebration of Rob鈥檚 life.听听
