Associate Professor of Piano David Korevaar performs two of Liszt’s Swiss pieces:ÌýEglogueÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýMal du pays. The first is an evocation of spring (a nice relief after theÌýVallée d’Obermann); the second, based on aÌýRanz des vachesÌýthat Liszt evidently liked well enough to recycle many years later in his famousÌýNuages Gris, is filled with nostalgia and longing.
