The Mountain Research Station welcomes K-12 Schools and Program Operators to partner with us to use the station for instruction in environmental sciences. At this time the Mountain Research Station does not directly offer K-12 programs with curriculum, but instead we partner with program operators who have their own curriculum and teaching staff/volunteers. The station can provide facilities and site support for visiting K-12 program operators. Please contact us to discuss your program as well as your facility and support needs. Interpetive trails at the Mountain Research Station
The CU Public Outreach and Office of Engagement has recently awarded a grant to the Mountain Research Station to develop and construct 3 interpretive nature trails with an emphasis on plant and animal ecology, hydrology, geomorphology, forestry, and atmospheric science. The trails are intended to support self-guided tours as well as provide a platform for guided tours. Trails were completed in 2021! Please see our page on our interpretive trails.
