Graduate and Family Housing Package Lockers

Graduate and Family Housing has worked with The UPS Store to provide package lockers to residents in Marine Court, Athens Court and Athens North beginning Jan. 8, 2024. The package lockers are located in the Athens North Community Room, which is accessible using your Buff OneCard. Check out our FAQs below for help troubleshooting any issues you may have retrieving your package.

  Do I need to sign up for a package locker?  

Residents in the West End will automatically be enrolled in package locker delivery. We believe this will make picking up packages more convenient for residents and keep packages more secure. 

  Can I opt out of this program?

All West End residents are automatically enrolled in this program as a way to secure your packages. There is not an opt-out option at this time. 

  How much does it cost to have my package delivered to a locker?  

There is no additional cost to have your package delivered to a package locker. 

  I get packages from different couriers Does that matter?

All major couriers are familiar with Luxer One package lockers and are able to delivery to these lockers. The UPS Store on campus works very closely with companies like UPS, FedEx, the United States Postal Service, and Amazon and has trained delivery drivers on how to access the lockers. No matter who your package comes from, the process will look the same for you.

  Are there any other locker locations in GFH?  

At this time we only have package lockers in the Athens North community room for West End residents. Locker placement for residents in other communities will be evaluated after an initial pilot program in the West End. 

  When can I pick up my package?  

West End residents will have 24/7 Buff OneCard access to the Athens North community room, so you can pick up your package when it is convenient for you. We ask that you pick up your package within three days or it will be returned to the sender.  

  Can I receive more than one package a time?  

Depending on locker size, you can receive up to as many packages as will fit in the designated locker in one delivery. Ex: You receive a UPS envelope and it fits in a small locker. Hours later Amazon comes with another envelope. The driver can select to place the new item in the locker with the earlier item, if it fits. Otherwise, a new locker will be used and a code will be emailed.  

  Is there a size limit on packages?  

The largest package we can accommodate is roughly 22x35x72. Oversized items will still be delivered to the secured Athens North Community room, and will be placed next to the lockers.  

  How do I open my locker?  

When you receive a package you will be sent an email notification with an access code. Enter the code at the locker screen to access your package.  

  Can I have someone else pick up my package?  

You can have someone else retrieve your package if they have Buff OneCard access to the Athens North community room and you give them your code.  

  Can I use the locker to send a package?  

No – the lockers are currently only for incoming package deliveries. 

  Do I need to use a different address to have my package delivered to the lockers?  

No, please continue to use your GFH mailing address.  

  What if I can’t access the Athens North community room?  

If your Buff OneCard does not open the door to the Athens North community room, please contact the Graduate and Family Housing office by phone (303-492-6384) or email (GraduateFamilyHousing@colorado.edu). Access to the community room is only available through the west facing door.

  What if I don’t have a Buff OneCard?  

  • Graduate and Family Housing residents are able to purchase an affiliate Buff OneCard from the Buff OneCard office in the Center for Community.  
  • The Graduate and Family Housing office will have temporary access cards available during the initial introduction of this new package system. 

  What happens if my package isn’t delivered?  

  • Verify with the shipping entity what the tracking indicates 
  • Email The UPS Store 7000 (store6439@theupsstore.com) with the tracking number so we can better assist or help support 

  I want to order groceries through a delivery services. Where will they be delivered?

Companies like UberEats, GrubHub, and Door Dash will still deliver directly to your apartment.
