Dr. Leila Gómez is a Professor in the Department of Women and Gender Studies at the University of Colorado, Â鶹ӰԺ. Her research interests include Latin American and Indigenous literature, film and culture, with emphasis in the Andes, Mexico, Paraguay and Argentina. She has received the Fellowship for Advanced Researchers (2014–2015) from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the Outstanding Mentor Award from the CU Graduate School (2020–2021), the US Department of Education Title VI IFLE to support undergraduate curriculum on Latin American and Latinx studies at CU Â鶹ӰԺ (2020 and 2022), and the Arts and Sciences College Scholar Award (2024). More recently, she has been and continues to be a foundational member and advocate in the development of the Quechua Language Program, and was the former Director of the at CU Â鶹ӰԺ.Ìý
