Sarah has successfully defended her PhD thesis and has returned to the PharmD program. ÌýBoth degrees will be conferred simultaneously once she completes her PharmD program. She worked on understanding how cells survive after activating apoptotic caspases in the context of radiation exposure. Her findings, , could provide new targets for improving radiation treatment of human cancers. In her free time, Sarah enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and going on long walks.
