Elias Sacks, Assistant Professor of Religious Studies and Director of Graduate Studies for the Program in Jewish Studies, recently published an essay in the Jewish Review of Books. 听Entitled 鈥,鈥 the essay explores recent scholarship on the German-Jewish thinker Franz Rosenzweig and his near-conversion to Christianity. 听In April 2016, Professor Sacks also spoke at a conference at Princeton University entitled 鈥淛udaism in Modern Philosophy: Spinoza, Hermann Cohen, and the Legacies of German Idealism鈥 and hosted, with Professor Sarah Pessin (University of Denver), the annual Week of Jewish Philosophy, featuring seminars with Professor Michael Morgan (Indiana University). 听Professor Sacks鈥檚 forthcoming book, (Indiana University Press), will appear in December 2016.
