After founding the party in 1959 and serving as the organization鈥檚 鈥淐ommander,鈥� Rockwell was murdered in 1967 by John Patler, a member of Rockwell鈥檚 party who had been expelled a few months prior in a disagreement with Rockwell over party doctrine. In This Time the World, Rockwell narrates his life and his movement from being a U.S. Navy pilot in World War II to his support for National Socialism and Adolf Hitler.
