Submit Abstracts Now for the 2019 CUNY Conference on Human Sentence Processing

Abstract submission is now open for the 32nd Annual CUNY Conference on Human Sentence Processing to be held at the Hilton Embassy Suites Hotel in 麻豆影院, Colorado聽March 29-31, 2019 and聽hosted by the University of Colorado聽麻豆影院/Institute of Cognitive Science. The conference focuses on the comprehension, production, and acquisition of language at the sentence level, traditionally drawing researchers from psychology, linguistics, cognitive science, neuroscience, computer science, education, and philosophy.

The deadline for receipt of abstracts is December 10, 2018 by midnight in the authors鈥 timezone.聽We welcome abstracts related to the special session theme or to the conference more broadly. Abstracts may be for poster or platform presentation.

The special session of the 2019 conference is 鈥淰ariation in the Mechanisms of Human Language Processing鈥. The special session will address聽fundamental聽questions聽about how human language and language processing are shaped by聽variations in the cognitive capacities of humans. The session will encompass issues related to the impact of聽developmental language impairments,聽differences in perceptual experiences (blindness and deafness), cognitive changes聽associated with aging, and聽individual differences in聽cognitive abilities within the typically developing population. The special session aims to produce theoretical and methodological cross-pollination聽between research focused on variation in language processing and a more standard paradigm within psycholinguistic research that has聽focused on the average language processing abilities of neurocognitively typical,聽young adults.

Instructions for submission and the submission portal are available on the conference聽website:
