Young Memorial Fellowship of $2,000 for the 2023-2024 academic year. The family of<br> Dr. Young along with Dean Adler selected her on the basis of her nomination by the Department of Integrative Physiology and Professor Kenneth Wright.</p> <p>Sheryl R. Young was an energetic, enthusiastic, brilliant young woman. From early in life, she demonstrated drive, excitement at new things, verve, and a concentration that allowed her to<br> focus on very difficult goals and problems. She was a multifaceted person with diverse interests such as scuba diving, gardening, and classical music, which complemented her talent and energy.</p> <p>Dr. Young received her Ph.D. from the University of Colorado at Â鶹ӰԺ in 1984 in the Department of Psychology. She was a professor at Carnegie Mellon University where she was internationally known in computer science.
