Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD)
IBG and the Institute for Cognitive Science are collaborators on a landmark national study of adolescent brain and cognitive development (ABCD). The ABCD study is the largest long-term study of brain development and child health in the United States. We are one of 19 sites nationwide. Our goal in Colorado will be to enroll 200 pairs of twins and 150 non-twin children, beginning at age 9 and 10, and follow them over the next decade. Nationwide, approximately 10,000 children will participate.
