Job Description:
The International Affairs Program is looking to fill an undergraduate student assistant position beginning Spring 2024. Students across all academic disciplines are encouraged to apply. Applications are being reviewed as they are received, and interviews will be scheduled for the week of January 22 with an expected start date at the beginning of February. The starting hourly rate for the position is $16.50 an hour and includes paid sick leave.
Responsibilities include:
- Website: Generate news/event posts and maintain the IAFS website.
- Social Media: Manage IAFS social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Communication: Interact with faculty, staff, and students via email and in person, create flyers and social media content via Canva, post on the CU Event Calendar, etc.
- Events: Assist in the planning of programming and execution for events.
- Projects: Complete various projects with a high level of detail/focus, such as updating the IAFS Semester List of Courses.
- Routine tasks: maintain the IAFS office space, etc.
What we are Looking For:
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently and take initiative.
- 5-8 hours per week in 2–4-hour shifts, in-person at the IAFS office. Monday – Friday during normal CU business hours (9am-5pm).
- Able to work for at least two academic years, first- and second-year students are highly encouraged to apply.
- Work study students preferred.
