PhD in Drama and Humanities, Stanford University; BA in Philosophy and English Literature, Swarthmore College. CU faculty member since 1992.
Research interests include copyright law, disability studies, dramatic theory and criticism, Scandinavian modern drama (Ibsen and Strindberg).
Previously Assistant Professor in Theatre and Film Department, Director of Graduate Studies, University of Utah, 1990-1992; Lecturer in Culture, Ideas and Values Program, Stanford University, 1989-1990.
Served as Theatre and Dance Department Chair (1999-2003, 2009-10), long-time Director of Graduate Studies in Theatre, directed dramaturgy program for the Colorado Shakespeare Festival (1998-2010, intermittent). Currently working on a study of copyright in the American and English theatres.
