Since 1987, the University Perspective (UP) program has developed and deepened the leadership capacity of staff on the 麻豆影院 campus. Participants gain firsthand knowledge of the university through meetings with senior leaders on the 麻豆影院 campus and each of the other three campuses in the CU System and the CU System Office. The program is sponsored by Organizational and Employee Development (OED) in the Department of Human Resources. Applications are being accepted for the 2020-21 program.听听

Program Information听

Duration:听The University Perspective program is a nine-month program that runs from September 2020 through May 2021.听

Format:听Due to COVID-19, we anticipate that all University Perspective program activities for the coming academic year will be virtual.听听

Schedule: The听schedule of program sessions is posted听on the HR Website.听Please review the schedule prior applying to ensure your availability for program activities.听(Some sessions are still being scheduled. Keep checking the website for the most accurate scheduled dates.)听听

How to Apply听

Completed applications must be received by Monday,听August 24 at听11:59听p.m. The听University Perspective Application will be submitted via a听. No additional letters or documentation besides the application will be required or accepted.听

Applications will be听reviewed,听and final selections made by the applicant鈥檚听divisional听leadership. The University Perspective program manager will notify applicants of their听application听status in early September.听

What We Require听

  • Be a staff member at CU 麻豆影院听听
  • Have support of immediate supervisor to participate in the program听
  • Be able to fully participate in all program sessions (estimated to be a time commitment of 4 to 8 hours per month from September 2020 through May 2021)听

What We Would Like You to Have听

Ideal candidates for this program possess one or more of these characteristics:听

  • Current and emerging leaders who are advancing in their career听听
  • Mid and听higher-level听managers who have come to the university from outside higher education听
  • Experienced professionals prepared to learn about and appreciate how the university functions as a complex organization, and how their role relates and contributes to the organization听
