Since 1987 the University Perspective Program has enhanced the knowledge base of the University of Colorado staff. With over 562 graduates, the University Perspective Program engages participants with campus and university leaders to provide an in-depth understanding of inner workings of the University. The program is sponsored by Organizational and Employee Development (OED) in the Department of Human Resources. Applications are being accepted for the 2019-20 program. Program Information

Duration: The University Perspective Program is an eight-month program that runs from September 2019 through May 2020.

Format: Engagement with campus administrators and distinguished faculty; visits to notable locations and networking opportunities. Participants meet with the Â鶹ӰԺ City Manager, attend a legislative session at the State Capitol,Ìýand hear from membersÌýofÌýtheÌýCU President'sÌýexecutiveÌýteamÌýduring visits to each campus of the University of Colorado System and the System Office.

Interested employees completed application (online form and nomination letter) must be received by Human Resources before the application deadline.Ìý

There are two parts to the application process:

  1. Complete the online University Perspective Program Application Form.Ìý - Application Period for 2019-20 is closed.Ìý
    • Enter the name and email for individuals required to sign theÌýform and select "Begin Signing". This form requires signatures via DocuSign from the applicant, supervisor and Director/Dean.Ìý
    • Complete the application. Information you enter on the first screen is loaded into the application form.ÌýFrom there, please complete all required fields.ÌýÌý
    • Select "Finish" to begin routing the form for signatures.Upon the final signature, the form is automatically routedÌýto Human Resources.
  2. Send one nomination letter from a supervisor or up line leader to: lisa.nelson@Colorado.EDU

What We Require

  • Be a staff member at CU Â鶹ӰԺ
  • Have support of immediate Supervisor to participate in the program
  • Be able to fully participate in all program sessions

What We Would Like You to Have

  • The program is best suited for staff at all levels of university that are currently in supervisory or leadership roles.
  • Staff who have been identified as unit or organizational leaders, or are likely to be in leadership or supervisory role in the near future will also be considered.
  • Applications will be reviewed by the appropriate Vice Chancellor’s office. Final selections are made by the applicant’s Division leadership. The program manager will notify selected applicants in August. Ìý
