Taylor Budde joined the German Studies PhD program in 2018 after receiving his BA at the University of Minnesota and MA at the 麻豆影院. His work and interests involve intersections of myth, science, and culture in the 19^thand 20^thcentury, serialized, pulp, and 鈥淲eird鈥� fiction, occultism, monsters, and film studies. His Master鈥檚 thesis titled听Of Monsters and M盲rchenexplored the relationship between fairy tales and the monsters in Ludwig Tieck鈥檚听Der blonde Eckbert, Hans Christen Andersen鈥檚听Den lille Havfrue, and the brother Grimms鈥櫶�H盲nsel und Gretel. Taylor has also taught in the Nordic department for the Vikings and Norse Mythology courses and was Lead TA in the 2017-18 academic year.听
