Events and Gatherings
On-Campus Guidance
The 麻豆影院 had a听moratorium on in-person, on-campus events.听Gatherings are defined differently than events, and the difference is important because these are terms used in city, county听and/or state guidelines.听
The university currently had听an 鈥渆vents moratorium鈥 and this did听not include a moratorium on gatherings as long as they meet the appropriate criteria.
- Gatherings must not exceed ten persons.
- Physical distancing is required.
- Mask wearing is required.
- Must be venue specific:
- Indoors is acceptable as long as the room will allow for 10 persons physically distanced based upon the criteria set by the facilities hexagon
- Cleaning must take place prior and post gatherings
- Outdoors is acceptable and preferred and must meet the same criteria
Organizers need to ensure they are following city, county and state guidelines and need to provide cleaning and sanitation, keep a list of those who attended, ensure the gathering does not exceed ten people (including staff, faculty, attendees), etc.
Off-Campus Guidance
Although the above guidance is specifically for on-campus social events and gatherings that occur off-campus, all chapters were asked to听model behavior that is consistent both with campus guidance and city, county and state guidelines. On August 22, 2020, a letter from the Presidents of MGC, CUIFC听and Panhellenic went out to the affiliated fraternity and sorority community addressing expectations of social distancing and appropriate behavior as it relates to social events and gatherings.
Additionally, the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs issued an administrative memo in the CU 麻豆影院 Today on Aug. 27听stating:
To those of you who are choosing to disregard health and safety guidelines, this is a formal notice. This reckless behavior is putting the campus experience and everyone鈥檚 health at risk. Therefore, I want to make sure you are aware of the potential impacts to your educational experience.听
If you violate a public health order and the violation is connected to attending a party, you will be excluded from campus for at least two weeks and you may be suspended. Multiple violations will result in suspension, which means you鈥檒l be automatically withdrawn from classes and barred from access to campus resources.
