Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority was formally established at the University of Albany, State University of New York on March 23, 1994. Sigma Psi Zeta providesÌýa means for young women, particularly women of color, to grow andÌýdevelop well-rounded skills and ambitions for life after college. The national philanthropy of Sigma Psi Zeta is to combat violence against women in its varied forms. Sigma Psi Zeta advocates for the education, development, liberation and growth of women everywhere, particularly women of color.Ìý
Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority, Inc. is a progressive, multicultural Greek Organization that provides a means to success and support for womxn, particularly womxn of color. The sorority builds on the unity of strong and independent leaders to affect change in our organization, our campusesÌýand our local communities. Sigma Psi Zeta is an official partner ofÌý, the White House Initiative to end sexual assault on college campuses.
