David R. Boyd is the UN special rapporteur on human rights and the environment and is a professor of law, policy and sustainability at the University of British Columbia. Boyd is听the author of 10 books and more than 100 reports and articles on environmental law and policy, human rights, and constitutional law. His books include听The Rights of听Nature,听The Optimistic Environmentalist,听The Right to a Healthy Environment听and听The Environmental Rights Revolution. He lives on Pender Island on the west coast of Canada with his partner and their daughter.
