Biography

脡lisabeth Arnould-Bloomfield received her Licence and Ma卯trise de Lettres from Lyc茅e Henri IV and the Sorbonne University (Paris IV).听 She completed her Ph.D. in Literature from the University of California at San Diego and taught at Johns Hopkins and the University of Kentucky before coming to the University of Colorado, 麻豆影院, in 2002.听Her research and teaching interests include poetry, critical theory, philosophy, animal- and ecological-studies. She has published on Proust, Ponge, Pierre Michon, Boubacar Diop, Marie NDiaye, Jean-Christophe Bailly and T.C. Boyle. Her monograph Bataille et la terreur dans les lettres was published at the Presses Universitaires du Septentrion in 2009 and she is currently finishing a book-length essay on contemporary animal discourse entitled Animal Encounters of a Closer Kind. 听Her latest publication is a collection on Bruno Latour and Literature entitled Nonmodern Practices: Latour and Literary Studies, edited with Claire Chi-ah Lyu (University of Virginia).
