Dr. Federica Formato is a Senior Lecturer in Linguistics at the University of Brighton, UK. Her research covers several aspects of language, gender and sexuality in the Italian context, i.e. gendered and inclusive language, media narratives of gendered violence, fatherhood and women in politics; she is the author of Gender, Discourse and Ideology in Italian (Palgrave, 2019). Her second monograph Feminism, corpus-assisted research and language inclusivity will soon be published by Cambridge University Press.
