The �鶹ӰԺ (CU) will be conducting an engagement survey from April 15 through April 30. Your feedback is incredibly important and helps shape how we work, grow, and improve together. The survey launch email was sent from admin@ajgsurveys.com at 10am on 4/15/25 and it includes a link to complete the survey. It should take approximately 10 minutes to complete the survey.

To support I&R staff in completing the survey, I&R Human Resources will be hosting several drop-in sessions where you can get help accessing the survey or just have a quiet space to complete it. Staff from our I&R IT team will also be available during these sessions to help with password resets and accessing the MyCUinfo portal, if needed.

Here are the available times and locations:

Wednesday, April 23 | 10:00 am – 12:00 pm | Stadium Room 1B12

The 32nd Annual Campus Sustainability Summit brings the CU �鶹ӰԺ community together to share, learn, and celebrate CU �鶹ӰԺ’s sustainability accomplishments. The two-day event, held April 22-23, 2025, will feature an expo showcasing student projects and ideas for climate solutions, along with panels, workshops, and awards.

In collaboration with campus partners, CU Environmental Center has hosted a Campus Sustainability Summit annually or semi-annually since 1994. The Summit is open to all CU �鶹ӰԺ students, faculty, staff, and community members.

The Work Wear Safety shoe truck will be here on campus at the GROC parking lot. If you work in Facilities Management and your work shoes need replacement please plan to stop by:

If you need new safety shoes please download/print the safety shoe voucher (requires login to SharePoint) and get it signed by your supervisor and bring it to the shoe truck with you. As we approach the end of the academic year, I am asking all CU �鶹ӰԺ staff to come together to help make this year’s commencement the best it can be for our graduates and their families and friends.

There are a number of ways to volunteer for commencement events between Thursday, May 8, and Saturday, May 10. We’re also encouraging volunteers to review parking and alternative transportation options to make your experience easier.

Commencement is the university’s number one priority for these three days, so I am also urging supervisors to support their teams by minimizing barriers to participation. Please discuss applicable policies for volunteer leave with your supervisors and department HR liaisons if volunteering during normal work hours.

If you are unable to volunteer on campus, please discuss with your supervisor whether it is possible for you to work remotely, as we will need to accommodate a large number of visitors on campus.

I hope you will find that being a part of these events at CU �鶹ӰԺ will remind you of why our university exists and the vital role you play in fulfilling our mission.

Although this is a busy time for all of us, I know your support will be appreciated by our graduates and their loved ones as we celebrate the joy of our university community’s finest moment.

The Give & Go Donation Drive is coming up during move-out (May 5-7, 2025), and we need your help to make it a success. It's a perfect chance to use your CU volunteer hours for a great cause. Sign up here: Give and Go Donation Drive Volunteering.

Help collect and organize reusable items for donation from students moving out of residence halls on campus. Every year CU recycling collects over 20 tons of clothes, food, personal care, furniture, textbooks and other reusable items for donation to local and national groups. Volunteers are needed to help collect donations, bag items, keep donation areas clear and assist CU Recycling student staff. This year donated items will go to Resource Central, the Buff Pantry, the CU Surplus Store, the Panhellenic League and other groups for free or low cost distribution to the local community.

We want to clarify the difference between O365 Copilot Chat and M365 Copilot. Both Copilot tools have been reviewed by FMIT and OIT for security, privacy, and CU contract terms.

O365 Copilot Chat is a web-based AI chat tool that generates answers from web content. All CU staff members have access to O365 Copilot Chat. It's included in our Office license. To access O365 Copilot Chat, visit Microsoft365.com/copilot.

Examples of tasks you can complete using the free O365 Copilot Chat:

Summarize long email threads
Generate ideas for documents

M365 Copilot is an upgraded version of Copilot which is integrated into Microsoft 365 apps like Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, offering personalized support based on your work data. M365 Copilot is a subscription-based product that requires an annual fee. The annual cost is approximately $400 per individual; that amount can be prorated for partial year use. Members of our IT and I&R leadership team have been testing out the M365 Copilot product for the past couple of months and have seen many benefits of using the tool. If you are interested in M365 Copilot, please speak to your supervisor for approval first, then reach out to fmit@colorado.edu to get the process started.

Examples of tasks you can complete using the upgraded M365 Copilot:

Email Management: M365 Copilot can help you stay on top of your inbox, draft responses quickly, schedule meetings, and set up rules to organize your emails in Outlook.
Meeting Preparation: It can assist in scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and creating automatic replies for upcoming vacations.
Time Management: M365 Copilot can create daily schedules, prioritize tasks, and optimize your weekly schedule using tools like Viva Insights.
Document Creation and Editing: Integrated into Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, M365 Copilot can help draft documents, analyze data, and create presentations based on your work data.

For more information on approved AI tools at CU �鶹ӰԺ, please visit the CU approved AI tools list. Be sure you use approved tools logged in under your university account to ensure protection of university data. Review the approved data level to determine what type of data should be shared with each tool. Both the add-on licensed version of Microsoft 365 Copilot and the free Copilot Chat are now rated for non-public data. You should always redact confidential information when using tools rated for public data only.

Creative solutions can help you work within these parameters and still receive the great work benefits and efficiencies offered by using AI tools. For example, you can save a Zoom meeting transcript and later use O365 Copilot Chat to summarize it. Before sharing AI generated content, always review the output for accuracy and tone, and double check to ensure correctness and watch for bias.
