Introduction

Did you know that CU 麻豆影院 has more than 380 non-tenure-track faculty who hold teaching and librarian positions in the clinical and instructor-track faculty ranks? We recognize these faculty's vital role in enabling our campus to address its research and teaching missions. In 2022, the Office of Faculty Affairs hired its听first Faculty Fellow focused on teaching and clinical faculty development to design programming that supports early-, mid-, and late-career teaching and clinical professors through the unique challenges that define their non-tenure-track careers.

We host workshops throughout the academic year to help teaching and clinical faculty build more robust networks and ensure their inclusion in the greater CU 麻豆影院 community. These sessions are not recorded to create a comfortable environment for听open, candid discussions and engagement.听Workshop topics include:

  • Navigating the reappointment process
  • Balancing teaching with other responsibilities
  • Strengthening your role within your department
  • How to complete your FRPA

If you have a disability and require accommodations, including ASL or captions, please contact the ADA Coordinator at adacoordinator@colorado.edu听or 303-492-9725. Two weeks advance notice of need for accommodations is requested.

Community听of Practice for Teaching and Clinical Faculty

Are you looking for ways to create stronger connections with other teaching and clinical faculty? In听Spring 2023, the Office of Faculty Affairs introduced听an opportunity to build a community of practice (CoP) for you. Communities of practice are "groups of people who share a concern or a passion for something they do and learn how to do it better as they interact regularly."* CoPs provide a chance to socialize, but they are also a place for individuals with a shared identity to support each other, exchange information, and strengthen cross-campus relationships. The teaching and clinical faculty CoP will be a mix of online and in-person events.

For questions听about teaching and clinical track faculty opportunities, please contact听Lev Szentkir谩lyi,听Faculty Fellow for Teaching and Clinical Faculty Development.
