Meet the Exploratory Studies Health and Wellness Team

The PES Health and Wellness team is a dedicated team of liaisons from Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS), Health Promotion (HP) and the Office of Victim Assistance (OVA) who help PES students get connected with health and wellness services on campus.

WellCU

The WellCU series offers concrete skills and information about topics that are highly relevant to student health and well-being. Students can attend any individual session; those attending all five will receive a non-degree certificate.

Mental Health First Aid

This training helps a person with no clinical training assist someone experiencing a mental health crisis. Mental Health First Aiders learn a 5-step strategy to assess and support someone in crisis.

Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) offers confidential, on-campus mental health and psychiatric services for a variety of concerns such as academics, anxiety, body image, depression, relationships, substance use and more.

Same day appointments

Drop-in screenings are available in person at CAPS in the Center for Community (C4C), Suite N352.

Same-day screenings are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Students are recommended to show up to the CAPS office by 8:30 a.m. that morning.

CAPS offers a range of mental health services tailored to fit the needs of CU 麻豆影院 students. Take advantage of offerings like WellTrack, group therapy, psychiatry, Academic Live Care, Let鈥檚 Talk, workshops, short-term individual therapy and more.

PES individual appointments

If you want to schedule with Dr. Ehrnstrom, you can call CAPS at (303) 492-2277 or send a message directly to her . Appointments are prioritized for PES students on Mondays 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Dr. Ehrnstrom holds Let's Talk sessions just for PES students in the PES advising office in CASE - East Wing, 2nd/Main floor on Wednesdays 1-3 p.m., beginning Nov. 6 (students can just drop in to chat.) Let's Talk is designed to be an informal, brief and confidential consultation with a counselor. 

CU 麻豆影院 Telehealth by AcademicLiveCare

CU 麻豆影院 Telehealth by AcademicLiveCare (CUTALC) is a telehealth platform that allows you to schedule and attend metal health appointments 24/7 from a smartphone, computer or other mobile device. It鈥檚 free for all CU 麻豆影院 students. You can schedule virtual visits with licensed psychologists, counselors, psychiatrists or other providers. AcademicLiveCare is not crisis or emergency care.

Office of Victim Assistance

The Office of Victim Assistance (OVA) works towards a safer, more socially just and supportive campus community by providing culturally relevant trauma response and prevention services. OVA's services are free and confidential and include providing information, support, short-term trauma-focused counseling and advocacy. Advocacy can include academic advocacy and corresponding with professors and other academic officials on a survivor's behalf.

Additionally, OVA can provide additional presentations upon request such as: Supporting Survivors, Vicarious Trauma, or Love Shouldn鈥檛 Hurt. If you are interested in OVA鈥檚 services please view OVA鈥檚 list of presentations and complete a 鈥減resentation request form鈥 at the link provided.
