Nuclear Engineering Science Laboratory Synthesis Program
The Nuclear Engineering Science Laboratory Synthesis (NESLS) program, a cooperative research initiative at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) geared toward students working in nuclear engineering and science, is now accepting applications. Applicants seeking an internship in spring 2019 must apply by January 6, 2019, and applicants seeking an internship in summer 2019 must apply by February 28, 2019.
ORISE Fellowship at CDC
A summer fellowship opportunity is available in the Division of Laboratory Sciences (DLS) within the National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia. The application deadline is Friday, January 18, 2019 12:00 AM EST. The appointment is for one summer (May 23, 2019 through August 2, 2019).
ORNL Pathways to Computing Internship Program
The ORNL Pathways to Computing Internship Program at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is a 10-week summer program that provides undergraduate students with research projects in computer science and mathematics. Selections will be made on a rolling basis until applicants have been chosen. For best chance of selection, you must complete your application as soon as possible. The internship begins on June 3, 2019 and ends on August 9, 2019.
ORISE Fellowship at the FDA
Summer research opportunities are available at the National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in Jefferson, Arkansas. Application deadline is February 15, 2019 11:59 PM EST. Reference deadline is February 22, 2019 11:59 PM EST.
Artificial Intelligence Summer Institute (AISI)
The Artificial Intelligence Summer Institute (AISI) will collaborate with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) scientists on solving problems of national and scientific interest, engage in educational and professional development opportunities, explore career opportunities at national laboratories, and interact with and present their research to ORNL's scientists. The application deadline is March 31, 2019, 11:59 PM EST.
Geospatial Data Creation and Curation Fellowship at the U.S. DOT
Have you ever wanted to influence and improve the effectiveness of geospatial data at the national level? Are you detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality data products? Join us as we lead the development of new and improved national geospatial transportation products in the era of big data. The USDOT is actively reviewing applications and is looking to fill positions as soon as qualified applicants are identified.
Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships (SULI)
The Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) program encourages undergraduate students and recent graduates to pursue science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers by providing research experiences at the Department of Energy (DOE) laboratories. Applications for Summer 2019 are due January 10, 2019 at 5:00 PM ET.
NORC's 2019 Summer Internship
NORC's 2019 Summer Internship in Survey Research is a 9-week, full-time, paid position for upper-level undergraduates and graduate students with interests in social science and survey research. Applications will be accepted through Friday, January 18 at 5:00 PM CST.
Student Airborne Research Program (SARP)
The Student Airborne Research Program (SARP) is an eight-week summer internship program for rising senior undergraduate students to acquire hands-on research experience in all aspects of a scientific campaign using one or more NASA Airborne Science Program flying science laboratories. Deadline: 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, January 30, 2019.
Computational Sensing for Human-centered AI
This REU Site will expand its trajectory as an attractor for highly diverse students who will gain experience with sensing hardware and software towards transformative advances in intelligent systems focused on human behaviors and cognitive processes. Apply by January 31, 2019.
