EVEN Team Wins National 2018 WEF Student Design Competition for 2nd straight year
EVEN team 鈥淐uratio Engineering鈥 has taken first place at the 2018 Water Environment Federation Design Competition in New Orleans, LA, for its submission,听Enhancing Nutrient Removal at 麻豆影院鈥檚 75th St. Wastewater Treatment Facility鈥.
Curatio Engineering is composed of听Debbie Cevallos, Domenica Cevallos, Mercedes Kindler, Jackie Kingdom, Katie McQuie and Feng Xiang, recent graduates of CU Environmental Engineering.
Christopher Corwin, EVEN instructor, served as faculty advisor of the Design Team.
听is the world鈥檚 largest annual water quality exhibition where Member Associations proudly select their best Student Chapter Design Team to participate in the annual WEFTEC听Design Competition.
Student Design Competitions听are intended to promote real world design experience for students interested in pursuing a career and/or education in water and wastewater engineering and sciences. The competition promotes interest and skills that will prove to be extremely valuable as the students enter the professional world.
Last year, the EVEN team "Cedar Engineering" composed of听EJ Katsoulas, Sarah Vander Meulen, Alan Bracewell, Riley McConnell, and Dillon Rodenbaugh,听 won听1st Place as well.
