Experience operational conservation programs in the Serra do Mar Biodiversity Corridor, participate in community-based conservation solutions, and much more. Students from a range of disciplines with an interest in conservation are encouraged to apply. Offered as EBIO 4340/5340 and ENVS 4340/5340, this course fulfills the EBIO Lab/Field and 4000-course major requirements and ENVS's application and specialization requirements. The program includes excursions around Rome and Italy.

Spend six weeks of your summer immersed in Russian culture and language in the beautiful city of St. Petersburg! Develop your Russian language skills through a homestay experience while taking numerous field trips and a weekend visit to Moscow. Led by Professor Artemi Romanov, students take two courses worth a total of 9 credit hours: RUSS 3601 (3 credits) and a Russian language course (9 credits). RUSS 3601 fulfills the Historical Context core requirement. Language courses can be applied towards MAPS language deficiency. Beginning to advanced Russian speakers are welcome. This three credit course (IAFS 3500, cross listed as HIST 4190) is taught by CU History Professor (and Int'l Affairs Director) Tom Zeiler. Study in beautiful Bordeaux through lectures, guest speakers and excursions to various sites in and around Bordeaux. There are extra scholarships available for this program! This course is approved to fulfill the Arts & Sciences Historical Context core requirement.
