CU �鶹ӰԺ Student Government and the University Libraries has named Beth Osnes as one of this year’s recipients of the annual Open Educator Award. This year, the award honored four educators for supporting CU �鶹ӰԺ students’ learning experiences

The new podcast is by a mother/public radio producer, Kelly Jones, and her 8 year old daughter, June — together they follow Mr. Rodgers’s advice to look for the helpers, they interview creative problem solvers who are trying to make life better during the COVID-19 crisis, and explore how to help the helpers.

Dr. Colleen Scanlan Lyons (ENVS Research Professor) was nominated and selected to receive the 2020 individual achievement award recognizing her dedication to advancing partnerships for tropical forest conservation efforts that benefit indigenous peoples and local communities. This award announces the campus' appreciation of her commitment to reducing the burden that the CU campus and the �鶹ӰԺ community place on the environment.

Associate Professor, Jill Litt, and Ph.D. student, Ashby Leavell, were awarded a seed grant from the CU Renee Crown Wellness Institute to pursue their 2020-2021 study, "Designing Nature-Based Social Prescriptions with Adolescent Mothers and Their Peers to Address Social Connection".

Professor Lambert writes op-ed piece to dispel claims that wolves caused the current pandemic.

The fight over whether gray wolves should be reintroduced in Colorado continues as over 200,000 signatures were delivered to the Secretary of State's office Tuesday morning. The Rocky Mountain Wolf Action Fund is behind the campaign to get the issue on the ballot in 2020. “This is the first time ever in U.S. history where the restoration of an endangered species using the mechanism of reintroduction has been done via a democratic process,” Lambert said.
