Samper is Associate Professor at the Program in Environmental Design. His work at concentrates on sustainable urban growth and dwells at the intersection between urban informality ("slums") and urban violent conflict. He obtained his BA in architecture in UNal in Medellin, a Master in City Planning from MIT and a Ph.D. on Urban and Regional Planning, also from , where he was a Lecturer for the past two years. In 2010, his with estudio teddy cruz, exhibited at the MoMA.
He is a fellow of the 鈥溾, and advisor for the 鈥 for the . He is a co-founder of a nonprofit dedicated to choreograph meaningful conversations, and with marginalized communities.
