Five听faculty in the College of Engineering and Applied Science at CU 麻豆影院 have earned Fulbright Fellowships in 2023 around critical topic听areas such as air quality, renewable energy, and climate.听The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program offers听opportunities to teach, research and conduct professional projects in more than 135 countries and to expand American partnerships and share knowledge. 鈥婻ecipients are selected on the basis of academic and professional achievement, as well as a听demonstrated leadership in their听field.

Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering
Professor Rajagopalan Balaji will use the Fulbright-Kalam Climate Fellowship to explore the intricate interplay between monsoonal climate and public health听on the Indian subcontinent. He will work with听the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, as well as Gandhinagar, Roorkee and Ashoka Universities.听听

Associate Professor Marina Vance will spend a year on the island of Java, Indonesia, collaborating with researchers at Bogor Agricultural University to investigate indoor and outdoor exposure to air pollution using low-cost sensors.
