Engagement Opportunities
There are a number of ways for you to engage with the College of Engineering and Applied Science depending on the time you have available and where you are located. Alumni can stay informed about news and exciting developments, connect with other alumni to expand their network, and volunteer their time.
Stay Informed
From your personal experience as a student, you can be one of our strongest advocates. We want to keep you informed about what鈥檚 going on at the college and specifically let you know about new and exciting developments. We regularly update alumni through social media, college and departmental electronic newsletters, and annually through the CU Engineering magazine.
We also love to hear what you're doing now. Share your new job, new move, new baby or other exciting updates with your fellow alumni in the college鈥檚 e-newsletters and website.

Connect
We鈥檙e always here to connect you with other CU Engineering graduates. The alumni engagement office organizes events on campus and regionally that offer numerous opportunities to connect with the college, expand your professional network, deepen your knowledge base and show your school pride.
Regional Networks
The alumni office is focused on developing regional alumni networks in key areas where our larger alumni populations exist. Our current target areas include the Denver metropolitan area, Houston, San Francisco Bay area, Seattle, and Southern California. If you live in one of these areas and are interested in being part of a committee of alumni who help with the planning and promotion of local activities, contact Cameron Deverel-Rico, program manager for alumni engagement, at cameron.deverelrico@colorado.edu.
Employer Networks
Similar to regional networks, many companies employ a considerable number of CU Engineering graduates. The alumni office is interested in partnering with these employers to strengthen alumni networks within these companies to continue growing and enhancing their relationship with CU 麻豆影院. On-Campus Activities
With a bustling engineering student population of nearly 7,000 students and over 200 faculty members, there are countless opportunities for alumni to plug into the life of the campus. You can plan on participating in our annual CU Engineering Homecoming Tailgate and also check out the to see what else is of interest to you.
Volunteer
Interested in helping your alma mater? The College of Engineering and Applied Science is developing a comprehensive list of volunteer opportunities where alumni can help advance the mission of the college in alignment with our strategic vision.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Mentoring students
- Participating in student/alumni networking events
- Serving on the Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) Board
- Serving as a regional network ambassador
- Indicating interest in helping a specific department as needs arise
