Last year, members of the听CU Hyperloop team traveled to SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA for the Hyperloop Pod Competition.
听is a conceptual transportation technology first proposed by Elon Musk in 2012. Potentially capable of speeds up to 760 mph, the concept could enable traveling across the United States 鈥� and other places around the world 鈥� in a fraction of the time it takes now. In 2015, SpaceX began a student听.听 Every year since,听听and SpaceX have hosted this competition where university student teams are tasked with designing and building a hyperloop pod with various criteria being judged, e.g. going as fast as possible.
To help prepare for this competition, the 麻豆影院 is听announcing a first-ever Colorado Hyperloop Workshop听to be held right here in 麻豆影院, Colorado. CU Hyperloop, one of the hyperloop teams at CU 麻豆影院, believes that collaboration is important to being successful and advancing the technology needed for hyperloop. That鈥檚 why we鈥檙e hosting this workshop, an event aimed at bringing together local hyperloop teams from across Colorado to share their ideas and work towards making Colorado a hub for hyperloop development.
The Colorado Hyperloop Workshop will be held on Saturday, Jan.听19,听in the听Idea Forge听at CU 麻豆影院, and is scheduled to run from 3-6 p.m. Currently about 45 members from five hyperloop teams here in Colorado will be present, including:

- 听(Colorado School of Mines)
- 听(CU Denver)
- 听(CU Colorado Springs)
These teams will work together to discuss their concepts for the upcoming听听and help solidify a network where team members and students can work together to compete.
