Next week I’m hitting the road, bringing CU Engineering to the farthest reaches of the state.
Monday through Friday, I’ll cover more than 800 miles of Colorado with a small team of faculty and staff. We’ll spend time in Durango, Alamosa, Pueblo, Colorado Springs and Longmont to meet with high school and community college students, teachers, and administrators, alumni and other advocates.
While I’m excited to see more of our state, this isn’t a pleasure cruise.
I’m on a mission to engage in conversations about the future of engineering right here in Colorado. I’m also anxious to learn more about how each of these communities is doing its part to drive our state’s economy, security and quality of life through STEM education.
I’m going out:
If you are an alum, I encourage you to attend one of our alumni happy hours: Thursday, Sept. 21 in Colorado Springs or Friday, Sept. 22 in Longmont. Learn more and RSVP here.
Follow our progress on Twitter and . I hope to make this an annual event, so I welcome your suggestions for towns we should visit on our next tour.
