In case you haven't noticed, for the past two weeks, we鈥檝e been sharing stories and memories from the 42-year career of CU Engineering Professor David Clough as he prepares for retirement.
And believe me, there was no shortage of stories.
Former students and colleagues deemed Clough 鈥an outstanding teacher, mentor and friend,鈥 a 鈥symbol for students everywhere,鈥 an 鈥all-time favorite professor鈥 and 鈥such a pleasure to work with and be around.鈥
But we're doing more than just sharing fond memories for nostalgia's sake.
CU Engineering is creating an endowed faculty fund in Professor Clough鈥檚 name to honor his legacy and provide a leg-up to the faculty member who follows in his footsteps.
Any amount that you give between now and Friday, June 30, will be more than doubled by matching gifts from generous benefactors who want future students to benefit from faculty members as committed as Dave.
Giving is easy. Just visit today. Even pledges made over several years count toward the match. For more info, contact anne.shoup@colorado.edu.
We鈥檒l leave you with words of wisdom that : 鈥淥pportunities come along鈥攕ay yes.鈥
