A collaboration between the �鶹ӰԺ School of Education and Northeast Colorado Board of Cooperative Educational Services has received a new grant from the Colorado Department of Higher Education that bolsters collaborative efforts to create a more sustainable teacher force in Northeast Colorado. 

As a community of educators, researchers, staff and students, we affirm our support and love for our transgender and gender nonbinary students, friends, colleagues, and family members. Here are a few ways that you can join us in fighting against trans erasure by increasing support and visibility of trans people in particular. 

Join us for Ed Talks, a series of short, engaging talks led by CU �鶹ӰԺ School of Education change-makers and collaborators, on Nov. 7 at 7p.m. at the Dairy Center Arts Center in �鶹ӰԺ. Inspired by TED Talks, our fall Ed Talks will explore the collective power of students of color and more!

Two national organizations have awarded a grant that will deepen and advance our partnership between Denver Public Schools, CU �鶹ӰԺ, CU Denver and Rowan University. Professor Ben Kirshner is one of the Principal Investigators on the project that received a $1.4 million grant from the Hewlett Foundation and Jobs for the Future to expand the Student Voice and Leadership Program.

As we lead innovation in teacher preparation, a strong children’s and young adult collection remains vital. At the same time, picture books and youth adult literature appeal to all ages.
