Benjamin Hershelman (MEdu), a graduate in curriculum and instruction, is working in Jeffco Public Schools as a gifted and talented resource teacher overseeing gifted and talented identification and programming for 13 middle and high schools. He coaches cross country and track at Jefferson Academy High School in Broomfield. He has two children and is married to a teacher, where their dinner table PLC is excellent.

Kathryn Byrnes (PhDEdu'09) and Beth Dorman (PhDEdu’07), graduates in curriculum and instruction, co-edited a series of three books, Cultivating a Culture of Learning, Impacting Teaching and Learning and The Teaching Self, in 2018 on Contemplative Teacher Education with colleague Jane Dalton. Byrnes is the director of the Baldwin Program for Academic Development in the Center for Learning and Teaching at Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Maine. Dorman is an associate professor of teacher education at Fort Lewis College in Durango.

Mallory Goetz (MA in School Library, UCD) is the middle and high school teacher librarian at the International School of Panama in Panama City, Panama. Â She spent her first year as a librarian and international educator moving the entire library to a new space and creating a new comprehensive 6-12 library program.Â

Abby Kelleher is teaching Choir, Drama, and Piano at Erie Middle School. Since beginning teaching at EMS in 2010, the Choral program has nearly doubled. Abby lives in Northglenn with her husband Jeremiah Martinez (BA Psychology-CU-Â鶹ӰԺ, 2009) and their dog, Hunter.

Matt Gaertner is a Senior Research Scientist in Pearson's Center for College & Career Success. He received AIR's 2013 Charles Elton Best Paper Award for the co-authored article, "Preparing Students for College and Careers: The Causal Role of Algebra II." In the book, The Future of Affirmative Action, he reviews CU's approach as one of a few race-neutral strategies that may help increase diversity.
