Benjamin Hershelman (MEdu), a graduate in curriculum and instruction, is working in Jeffco Public Schools as a gifted and talented resource teacher overseeing gifted and talented identification and programming for 13 middle and high schools. He coaches cross country and track at Jefferson Academy High School in Broomfield. He has two children and is married to a teacher, where their dinner table PLC is excellent.

Kathryn Byrnes (PhDEdu'09) and Beth Dorman (PhDEdu’07), graduates in curriculum and instruction, co-edited a series of three books, Cultivating a Culture of Learning, Impacting Teaching and Learning and The Teaching Self, in 2018 on Contemplative Teacher Education with colleague Jane Dalton. Byrnes is the director of the Baldwin Program for Academic Development in the Center for Learning and Teaching at Bowdoin College, Brunswick, Maine. Dorman is an associate professor of teacher education at Fort Lewis College in Durango.

Charles Stowell was recently promoted to Senior Foreign Teacher with Disney English, in Shanghai, China.

Mallory Goetz (MA in School Library, UCD) is the middle and high school teacher librarian at the International School of Panama in Panama City, Panama.  She spent her first year as a librarian and international educator moving the entire library to a new space and creating a new comprehensive 6-12 library program. 

Craig Hoeltgen is a full-time math teacher at Centaurus High School in Lafayette, CO. "I love the job, school, and city."

Mark Lewis is Assistant Professor of Literacy Education at Loyola University. He received the 2012 Early Career Reviewer’s Award from the Bilingual Research Journal.

Abby Kelleher is teaching Choir, Drama, and Piano at Erie Middle School. Since beginning teaching at EMS in 2010, the Choral program has nearly doubled. Abby lives in Northglenn with her husband Jeremiah Martinez (BA Psychology-CU-Â鶹ӰԺ, 2009) and their dog, Hunter.

Sam Holloway is teaching science and technology classes at Lyons Middle/Senior High School in Lyons, CO. His environmental science students were recognized by the Longmont Times Call for their Earth Day documentary project.

Grace Boll is teaching Physics and Engineering at Hinkley High School in Aurora, CO. 

Megan Adovasio-Jones is working as a Library Associate at the Nashville Public Library. She does education and outreach for the Special Collections Division.

Jose Garcia-Paine is a Spanish and ESL teacher at Nederland Middle Senior/High School in Nederland, CO.

Matt Gaertner is a Senior Research Scientist in Pearson's Center for College & Career Success. He received AIR's 2013 Charles Elton Best Paper Award for the co-authored article, "Preparing Students for College and Careers: The Causal Role of Algebra II." In the book, The Future of Affirmative Action, he reviews CU's approach as one of a few race-neutral strategies that may help increase diversity.

David Hart graduated in Summer 2013 with a Master’s in Math & Science Education.

After graduating from the Educational Equity and Cultural Diversity program, Thais Simoes-Pryor continues to invest in work as a bilingual special education teacher for Denver Public Schools. "The Master's program was the perfect match to what I do."

Ashley Winder is a Kindergarten teacher in Kailua-Kona,Hawai'i through Teach For America. She helped start a tutoring program for the Hawai'i State Assessment to help her school make AYP in math and reading.

Pete Welter has co-founded The Cooperatory, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset in teens and mentoring those who choose to start businesses.

Darcy Walters is a Special Education teacher at Denver Green School. She recently became a partner and will serve as Special Education Chair and RTI Coordinator. 

Jordan Lynne Strawn is teaching at Pennock Elementary in Brighton, CO. 

Amy Smith is working in Maracaibo, Venezuela at an international school (Escuela Bella Vista) as a secondary math teacher for both International Baccalaureate (IB) and non-IB courses. Amy continues to play Ultimate Frisbee as well as explore and photograph the Venezuelan wilderness in adventure travels whenever possible.

Justine (Raptis) Cote is working as a reading interventionist and school librarian for ABT Elementary in Dearborn, Michigan.
